Sunday Supper – Weekend Links

Sunday Supper- And cooking with my Granny Vega.

I can remember learning to cook really awesome fried chicken with my Granny Vega. It was usually on Sunday after Mass and when word got out that Granny was cooking fried chicken folks would start showing up for that long over due visit for miles.

My granny had a way of keeping it crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside that surpassed any Kentucky Colonel or Fancy Popeye.  I would love to share her recipe, but it was not a fancy recipe. It was a recipe executed by a practiced cook with a large family and an even larger heart. Everything she cooked was so wonderful because she cooked it out of love for her family and friends.

Our Links this Weekend are some very tempting and delicious ideas for a fantastic Sunday Supper.  Some are healthy and some are nostalgic.  Its not that you need to cook a huge involved Sunday Supper. Its just that you need to cook a family meal and cook one often because these meals are the memory makers, not the dashed trips to the local sub shop and those strings of boring burger joints.
